The Chism House, which is located across from the Truckee River, has been restored to Victorian Elegance with pond, fountain, and lush grounds. Summer garden weddings can accommodate up to 150 people with ceremonies taking place by the arbor next to the beautiful large pond. Receptions follow on the paver deck covered with a romantic tent and shady trees. 
Ceremonies during winter can accommodate up to 30 people in the Victorian house with three fireplaces to keep you cozy. The ceremony takes place in front of the large marble fireplace in the parlor with cocktail style reception to follow in the house with its fabulous view of the pond and grounds.
The Chism House specializes in personalized weddings. Bring your dog to be the ring bearer, dance down the aisle, ride up on a motor cycle or in a carriage with horses, you can do it your way! Friends and family love the comfortable ambiance of the house and grounds. It is like getting married at Grandma's house!
The Chism House is conveniently close to the major downtown hotels and there is lots of parking available. Please feel free to call us at 775-322-5455 (11 am to 7 pm, pacific).Chism House is shown by appointment only, usually on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings. Monday appointments are not available.
